The Los Angeles Rams may have gotten a steal on Day 3 when they selected Chris Paul Jr., a linebacker from Ole Miss. They traded up 29 spots to get him, making an aggressive move for the talented linebacker in the fifth round.
Many who have watched Paul play know he goes by the nickname, “Pooh.” So where does that nickname come from? It stems from his family, specifically his parents. Both of their nicknames were “Pooh” when they were younger, so it was passed down to him at a young age.
He explained the origin in an interview with Sports Illustrated last year, saying it really stuck with him after he intercepted a pass and his mom held up a sign with his face and the word “Pooh” on it.
