Coming off of a crushing NFC Championship loss to New Orleans, the Vikings weren't sure if their quarterback -- Brett Favre -- was going to return for the next season. So, in 2010, three players were sent on a surprise visit to see Favre in Mississippi.
The players — guard Steve Hutchinson, defensive end Jared Allen and kicker Ryan Longwell — were able to convince him to come back, but apparently one-third of the party wasn't advocating for a return.
"I was the one guy who told him, 'Stay retired,'" Allen told A.J. Hawk on the linebacker's podcast.
