Chelsea is giving world-class support to its 38 players who are on loan at clubs across Europe as the Antonio Conte led side tries to increase the success rate of its young players making it into the first team.
Nathaniel Chalobah is the latest youngster to breakthrough but it took him six loan moves to prepare him for Conte's first-team squad while Goal understands that Chelsea will recall Andreas Christensen from Borussia Monchengladbach next season in the hope that he can emulate him.
The strategy has been dubbed "the loan army" by fans and is headed up by ex-Chelsea players Eddie Newton and Paulo Ferreira.
