Related Topics: John Tonkin, Special Air Service

In the newest episode of SAS Rogue Heroes soldier John Tonking, a member of the Special Air Service, is seen escaping from German forces before they can have him executed.

Tonkin (played by Jack Barton) had surrendered to the Nazis believing that they would take him as a prisoner of war under the Geneva convention, but after the SAS' success during the North Africa campaign Adolf Hitler had issued an executive order for the immediate killing of all members of the raiding squadron if captured. After he escapes his captors the character is seen travelling by foot across Italy to try and find someone who will be willing to help him.
