Jim Nagy still can’t believe Jarrett Stidham was a fourth-round pick in 2019.
The Senior Bowl director understood there might have been fair questions about Stidham, the Auburn quarterback who failed to build on an impressive 2017 season in 2018. But coming off a rousing bowl win over Purdue (in which he completed 15-of-21 passes for 373 yards and five TDs), and despite completing a strong week at the Senior Bowl, Stidham still fell to Day 3 of the draft.
Even New England reasonably had doubts. Stidham was selected 133rd overall, the seventh QB drafted in 2019.
