The Kent State men's basketball team looks to continue its run in the National Invitational Tournament tonight in Chicago. The Golden Flashes play at the Loyola Ramblers, an NCAA Final Four team in 2018.
The Flashes (24-11) and Ramblers (24-11) are playing in an NIT quarterfinal, with the winner advancing to the semifinals at Hinkle Fieldhouse on the campus of Butler University.
Kent State reached the quarterfinals by winning at St. Bonaventure and then Stanford. It's KSU's first trip to the NIT quarterfinals since 2011. The win over Stanford was Kent's first over a power conference team since 2018.
