Western Kentucky uses trickery to upend Memphis in Boca Raton Bowl

Western Kentucky lost its coach to Purdue, so interim coach Nick Holt decided to pull out all the stops in Tuesday's Boca Raton Bowl against Memphis.

The Hilltoppers turned a fake kneel down into a 53-yard gain and threw a touchdown to an offensive lineman in a 51-31 win over the Tigers.

Forrest Lamp, a senior offensive tackle, caught a lateral from quarterback Mike White and ran 9 yards to the end zone to give WKU a 14-10 lead at the end of the first quarter.

WKU offensive coordinator Tyson Helton then dialed up another trick play before halftime.
