Most NFL players and coaches don't like Thursday games because the short week doesn’t allow for bodies to recover from the previous game or for proper game preparation.
But for the Saints and Panthers, both coming off gut-wrenching losses Sunday, this week’s game offers an opportunity.

“It’s kind of a good thing that it’s a short week because we’ve got to get over that game pretty quick,” Saints receiver Willie Snead said of playing Thursday (8:25 p.m. ET, NBC, NFL Network, Twitter).
The Saints (4-5) suffered a 25-23 defeat Sunday when the Broncos blocked a potential winning extra point with 1:28 remaining.
