Watch: Williams, Heath, Press, Mewis score for USA in big second half vs. Switzerland

On a night when the U.S. women's national team introduced a number of new faces, it took a little bit for the Americans to get going, but they eventually seized control against Switzerland in the first of two friendlies.

Lynn Williams, fresh off winning the NWSL MVP award, Golden Boot and league championship with the Western New York Flash, scored a minute into her debut, and U.S. regulars Tobin Heath and Christen Press followed with goals later in the second half to break open their match in Sandy, Utah. Williams's Flash teammate, Samantha Mewis, added another in the 76th minute to make it a four-goal half for Jill Ellis's side, which is without the likes of Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, Julie Johnston, Meghan Klingenberg and Ali Krieger as new players get the opportunity to prove themselves.
