CHICAGO -- On Wednesday night, the Cubs won the World Series for the first time since 1908. You knew this of course. What you may not have known but surely anticipated is that Wrigleyville -- the neighborhood around Wrigley Field -- erupted in righteous celebration after the final out some 350 miles away in Cleveland.
First, here's a snapshot of the scene outside Wrigley just after the clinching moment ...
From there, your fearless correspondent retrieved his trusty bike and then walk/rode west on Addison Street for about a mile-and-a-half -- a stretch going from Wrigleyville to near the Northcenter neighborhood.
