It’s hard to have a better start to MLS Decision Day than the Seattle Sounders did. And it’s hard to have a better answer than Real Salt Lake.
With the Sounders needing a win to lock up a spot in the postseason without help, they sent their home crowd into raptures just three minutes into the contest. A low cross by Tyrone Mears was expertly flicked on by Jordan Morris into the path of Alvaro Fernandez. The midfielder did not miss his clear-cut chance, and delivered the early lead for the Sounders.
