It may have taken Katie Ledecky a while to get through the metal detector at Nationals Park on Wednesday. Or maybe we should call it a medal detector.
Fresh off winning four gold medals and a silver at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Ledecky was at Nationals Park to throw out the first pitch before Wednesday's game between the Nationals and Orioles.

Ledecky, who was born in Washington, D.C., but grew up in nearby Bethesda, Md., got a little help from Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper, who held her medals during the ceremonial first pitch.
