Justin James' words were curt and telling earlier this week after the top two seeds of the Volvik World Long Drive Championship had been knocked out and he was the top man remaining as the No. 3 seed.
On Wednesday, nobody could. James rolled into the finals with wins of Paul Howell and Nick Kiefer before taking down Canadian Mitch Grassing in the final.
Grassing failed to put any of his eight final shots in bounds, and all James had to do was hit one straight and short down the middle. That's not how you're supposed to win long drive titles, though, and James pummeled a shot 435 yards down the middle.
