During the 2006 and 2007 MLB All-Star Game festivities, some fans waited for home runs balls to find the water in Pittsburgh and San Francisco.
David Ortiz and Ryan Howard both blasted balls beyond the PNC Park wall and into the Allegheny River during the 2006 Home Run Derby. The flotilla of waiting boaters in San Francisco's McCovey Cove were disappointed the following year when none of the derby participants hit one out of AT&T Park.
But fans of the Northwoods League got to witness a unique home run derby that made a big splash Monday night in Kenosha, Wis.
