Canucks defenseman Philip Larsen was taken off the ice on a stretcher in Tuesday's game against the Devils following a high hit that left him motionless.
In the second period, Larsen was carrying the puck behind the Canucks' net when Devils forward Taylor Hall went in on a forecheck and caught Larsen upside the head with his right shoulder. Larsen dropped straight to the ice and lay on his back, apparently unconscious, while players scuffled around him and medical staff rushed to his aid in a frightening scene at Prudential Center.
An update on Larsen's condition has not yet been given.
