Washington State president Kirk Schulz says he will meet with Pullman, Wash. police chief Gary Jenkins to discuss relations between the football program and the police department.
Athletic director Bill Moos will also attend the Thursday meeting.
The meeting is in response to growing tensions between the parties amid Washington State coach Mike Leach calling out the police department saying that they treat members of the football team unfairly.
Several members of the football team have been involved in incidents of the past few months.
Sophomore linebacker Logan Tago was arrested on suspicion of robbery and assault after a June incident, safety Shalom Luani was arrested last month and accused of assault, and authorities are looking into another incident in which multiple football players were allegedly involved in a fight at a house party in July.
