Green was accused of slapping former Michigan State football player Jermaine Edmondson on July 10 in East Lansing. He avoided going to trial by agreeing to a plea deal Friday morning. As part of the agreement, he will pay a $500 fine and $60 in jail restitution.
His assault charge will be reduced to a civil infraction if he stays away from the victim for one year, and is also able to avoid any more criminal offenses.
