Warriors Are Almost Perfect for Postseason. Cavs Almost Were for a Night.

CLEVELAND — The Cavaliers needed to cut down on their turnovers. The Cavaliers needed to find a way to slow the Golden State Warriors in transition. The Cavaliers needed to get the members of LeBron James’s supporting cast more involved. In fact, those players needed to be brilliant.

On Wednesday night, the Cavaliers managed all of those things in Game 3 of the N.B.A. finals. And still, it was not enough — not against the Warriors, who kept their air of invincibility alive with a ridiculous, come-from-behind victory, 118-113, that put them on the verge of their second championship in three seasons.
