Wait, He Plays for Them Now?

While Arsène Wenger never seems to go anywhere — he will begin his 20th season at Arsenal on Sunday — a host of prominent players joined, left or switched Premier League teams over the summer. Among the more notable moves you will notice starting this weekend:

Raheem Sterling (to Manchester City)

Sterling must have known his days at Liverpool were numbered when he rejected a contract extension in January. Manchester City surely knew it, too, and promptly made an offer the Reds could not refuse. The $77 million City spent to acquire the 20-year-old Sterling was the highest price ever paid for a British player, but whether Sterling will be better off is an open question.
