In early October, Oakland Raiders linebacker Vontaze Burfict was suspended for 12 regular-season games as well as any playoff games as a result of his hit on Colts tight end Jack Doyle and previous rule violations.
But Friday, the 29-year-old Burfict made it clear that he doesn’t want to hear comparisons to Browns defensive end Myles Garrett’s incident with Mason Rudolph.
“The NFL had to suspend somebody for that last night, since that wasn’t a football act,” Burfict told The Athletic’s Vic Tafur, speaking publically for the first time about his suspension. “My suspension was a football act.
