Vontaze Burfict, Bengals Reportedly Agree to 3-Year, $38 Million Contract

After losing their two best free agents, Kevin Zeitler and Andrew Whitworth last offseason, the Cincinnati Bengals reportedly ensured the same wouldn't happen to Vontaze Burfict.

Burfict and the Bengals agreed to a three-year extension worth $38 million, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Thursday. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo confirmed the report.

Burfict was entering the final year of his current deal.

Since signing with Cincinnati as an undrafted rookie in 2012, Burfict has been one of the key players for the team's defense. He led the team in tackles in each of his first two seasons and again in 2016.
