The Toronto Blue Jays and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. have reached an agreement on a contract extension, according to reports.
ESPN’s Jeff Passan and The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reported that the deal is worth $500 million over 14 years. He was set to become a free agent following the 2025 season. The contract is reportedly a no-deferral deal, which means Guerrero is expected to be paid out in full during the term of the contract without any portion of the salary being pushed back for a later time.
Guerrero was considered one of the top international prospects in his class and originally signed with the team in 2015 for $3.
