The Vikings announced Wednesday that coach Mike Zimmer may not be available for Thursday's game against the Cowboys.
Zimmer had "emergency eye surgery," Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said in a statement.

"His status for coaching (Thursday's) game is uncertain," Spielman continued. "I have met with the coaches and players and we have a contingency plan in place if Mike is unable to coach against Dallas."
No further details were provided by the team.

The injuries have piled up this season for the Vikings, most notably to quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, running back Adrian Peterson and tackles Matt Kalil, Andre Smith and Jake Long.
