The Minnesota Vikings believe in J.J. McCarthy. Despite meeting with veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers during the offseason, Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell said Monday that he feels "very good" about McCarthy's ability moving forward.
The Vikings' interest in Rodgers could have been seen as an indictment of McCarthy, but that's not the case. O'Connell told ESPN "two things can be true at the same time," when discussing the issue Monday.
What did he mean by that? O'Connell made the case that the team can both believe in McCarthy and have a dialogue with one of the best quarterbacks of all-time.
