Surveillance video released Monday shows two cars matching the description in Smith's incident being involved in a hit-and-run. The Hummer driven by Hayes abruptly stops in the middle of the road, causing Smith's Mercedes to crash into the back of it.
After contact, the Hummer pulls over as the Mercedes proceeds to drive around. Shortly after this incident, Smith and Hayes were involved in a three-car accident that led to the death of the former NFL player.
