College football Saturdays won’t be quite the same next year as longtime CBS play-by-play voice Verne Lundquist, 75, will step down from his lead college football role following the 2016 season, CBS announced Tuesday.
Lundquist, the voice of the SEC on CBS since 2000, will continue calling regular-season college basketball, the NCAA Tournament and golf, including the Masters and the PGA Championship for CBS.
