USC shuts down Lake McRee for remainder of spring camp

USC football still has one more week left of spring practice. For the final week, however, they will be without one of their veteran leaders, as on Tuesday, head coach Lincoln Riley announced that the Trojans will be shutting down redshirt senior tight end for the remainder of spring ball.

Riley said that McRee had been dealing with several nagging injuries, which was the reason for the decision. However, he did not specify what injuries McRee had.

McRee has led USC in receiving among tight ends each of the past three years, while also serving as a valuable blocking presence.
