After mounting a dramatic comeback on Saturday to take the series from Indiana, USC baseball returned to Great Park in Irvine Tuesday night to take on San Diego State. The Trojans were once again winners, earning a 9-6 victory over the Aztecs.
USC was impressively able to put nine runs on the board despite not hitting a single home run. Center fielder Brayden Dowd and right fielder Jack Basseer both had three-hit, multi-RBI games for the Trojans.
On the mound, USC went with a bullpen game after exhausting its starters over the weekend. The Trojans' pitching was not great—allowing six runs on 13 hits—but the offense did enough to make up for it and outscored SDSU.
