Flag football is set to be added to the Olympic program for the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles, and while some NFL players have expressed interest in participating, one of USA Flag Football's top players attempted to pump the brakes on that idea on Saturday.
Team USA quarterback Darrell "Housh" Doucette spoke about the notion of NFL players competing in flag football at the Olympics with The Guardian, saying:
"I think it's disrespectful that they just automatically assume that they're able to just join the Olympic team because of the person that they are—they didn't help grow this game to get to the Olympics.
