Through three rounds of the U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club, Northern Irishman Shane Lowry has taken firm control of the tournament.
Heading back out on the course early Saturday morning to complete his third round, Lowry added two more birdies to shoot a 5-under 65 and get to 7 under, four shots ahead of Dustin Johnson and Andrew Landry heading into the final round.

Lowry broke through for his first PGA Tour victory at the WGC-Bridgestone last year, but the 41st ranked player in the world rankings also has two wins on the European Tour.
