You've probably heard Dale Scott's name. If not, he's been a big-league umpire since 1986.
On Friday night, Scott was involved in a scary situation, suffering an apparent injury during the Baltimore Orioles-Toronto Blue Jays game he was umpiring after taking a Mark Trumbo foul ball to the mask.
Scott went down to the ground and was attended to by multiple trainers. He was later immobilized and taken off the field on a stretcher:
Here's hoping Scott's OK and all the extra precautions were simply that -- precautionary.
