We now know who the five American League playoff teams will be. We already knew about the Indians, Astros, Red Sox and Yankees. We can now add the Minnesota Twins to the list.
The Twins actually lost on Wednesday, but they were able to sneak in the back door by virtue of the Angels losing to the White Sox.
The Twins probably qualify as the most unlikely playoff team this year. Currently at 83-75, they are likely to end up with the worst record among the 10 postseason entrants.
