Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered a dislocated right hip with a posterior wall fracture on Saturday at Mississippi State and will miss the rest of the season, per Aaron Suttles of The Athletic.
Senior Bowl director Jim Nagy also reported that Tagavailoa suffered a hip fracture and compared the injury to one that ended then-Los Angeles Raiders running back Bo Jackson's football career in 1990:
Jim NagyHearing Tua Tagovailoa’s hip injury is serious. Hip fracture. Similar to Bo Jackson’s career-ending injury. Surgery tonight or tomorrow morning. Praying for Tua and his family.
