John Hunter Nemechek has been penalized with the loss of 10 driver and owner points for failing post-race height inspection following last weekend’s Camping World Truck Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Nemechek’s crew chief Gene Kennon was fined $6,000 and his probation continues through Dec. 31.
Nemechek is one of eight drivers in the series’ first Chase championship battle. He was fourth after the initial race at New Hampshire, 22 points behind leader William Byron. He is now seventh of the eight drivers.
