USC coach Steve Sarkisian is taking a "forced leave of absence" from the football team, according to athletic director Pat Haden.
While speaking to the press, Haden said that Sarkisian is "not healthy" and is taking an indefinite leave of absence. Haden said he made the determination that Sarkisian was "not healthy" during a telephone call with him on Sunday afternoon.
FoxSports.com's Bruce Feldman reported on Sunday that Sarkisian "showed up in no condition to work" on Sunday.
Sarkisian was reprimanded before the season began for appearing drunk at a booster event in which Haden had to pull him from the stage during a speech.
