Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Trevor Bauer had a tough time finding the strike zone in Saturday's 9-5 loss to the Detroit Tigers, causing him to repeatedly plunk his opposition.
Bauer hit three Tigers batters, with one of the pitches being a scary fastball off Ian Kinsler's head. Instead of making excuses, Bauer apologized after the game.
"Want to extend my apologies to the @tigers I hit today. Especially Ian," he tweeted. "Would never intentionally throw at someone's head. No place for that."
Bauer's control issues started in the first inning when he drilled Miguel Cabrera in the left hand.
