That charge was reduced Tuesday to one count of misdemeanor assault with bodily injury, according to court documents obtained by TMZ Sports.

Boykin will be arraigned in August and could still face up to one year in jail.

The incident occurred on New Year's Eve in San Antonio, where Boykin was to lead the Horned Frogs against Oregon in the Alamo Bowl.
