More than one dozen college football programs jumped in the race early for Lake Wales (Fla.) High School star sophomore Kaneilius Purdy.
Yet his childhood favorite program, Florida State, had long been on his mind and on Monday he made the call to Mike Norvell to pledge a commitment to the Seminole program.
"It felt good man, I love FSU," Purdy told Rivals. "It's been my dream school. The coaches were happy, jumping around and everything.
"Because Florida State University is known for its rich tradition of excellence, both academically and athletically.
