Tony Stewart finishes 11th in final, 'most relaxing' Brickyard race

Tony Stewart seemed relaxed and confident all weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Making his last start at the famed track, the Indiana native brushed off the sentimental aspects of the weekend and focused on the on-track effort. He believed he had a shot to win.

In the end, he finished 11th in Sunday’s Sprint Cup race at the Brickyard, quite a feat after he was tagged with a pit-road speeding penalty during the race that sent him to the back of the pack and a lap behind.

Stewart and his Stewart-Haas Racing team showed the form of recent weeks, though, in rallying past the penalty to 11th.
