Former teammates Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman were in a war of words following a Saturday wreck at Richmond that knocked Newman out of Chase for the Sprint Cup contention, but now Smoke appears to be taking the high road entering the first race of the Chase in his final NASCAR season.
Stewart, who made contact with Newman at Richmond late in the race igniting a large wreck, said Thursday he doesn't blame Newman for calling him bipolar and saying that he had anger issues during interviews after the race.
"I haven’t heard anything from him," Stewart said, via NASCAR.
