Pittsburgh Penguins winger Scott Wilson didn’t get to celebrate his team’s 7-0 blowout win over the Ottawa Senators on Sunday afternoon.
Instead, as his teammates spilled onto the ice following the final horn, Wilson was heading down the tunnel to the Penguins’ locker room, where he was presumably evaluated for a head injury. That’s because just moments earlier Wilson was victimized by an ugly elbow/forearm to the face courtesy of Senators winger Tommy Wingels.
It appears that officials in the game punched their timecards a bit prematurely on Sunday, as Wingels wasn’t penalized for that hit.
