Tom Watson walked up the 18th green for the final time Friday as patrons cheered a legend of golf.
Watson, an eight-time major winner and two-time Masters champion, shared an emotional farewell in his 43rd and final competitive trip around Augusta National.

After shooting a 2-over 74 on Thursday, many believed Watson, 66, would have a chance at making it to the weekend, but he shot a 6-over 78 on a blustery second round to fall just short.
