A day after a report commissioned by the N.F.L. indicated that it was “more probable than not” that quarterback Tom Brady was at least generally aware of Patriots personnel deflating footballs to gain an advantage, he appeared at a previously scheduled event at Salem State University in Salem, Mass.
The sportscaster Jim Gray, who interviews Brady regularly on radio broadcasts of “Monday Night Football,” moderated the discussion with Brady during the sold-out event at the O’Keefe Center that is part of the Salem State Series.
In his first public appearance since the report was released Wednesday, Brady arrived to the event in a helicopter and was greeted by a number of onlookers, many of whom were wearing Brady jerseys.
