A Los Angeles police spokesman told the Orange County Register McDonald is being charged with driving under the influence of a substance other than alcohol. It's believed he possibly used medication or a narcotic.

Police said McDonald, 25, hit a parked car in Woodland Hills and waited for police to arrive. When police questioned him at the scene, McDonald didn't appear clearheaded, so police drove him to a nearby police station, where he was formally arrested about 8:30 a.
