UFC Hall of Famer and current Bellator MMA star Tito Ortiz was cited for misdemeanor battery early Friday in Las Vegas after an incident involving a woman at a nightclub.
TMZ Sports reports the woman told Metropolitan Police that Ortiz tried to "whip her around" at Drai’s nightclub inside Cromwell Casino. She believed the former UFC champion thought she was taking pictures of him.

After officers spoke with both parties at the scene, Ortiz was issued a citation.
Misdemeanor battery carries penalties of up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
