A 2008 third-round pick from Cal, Stevens established himself as one of the NFL’s top blocking tight ends. The 31-year-old Stevens played in all 16 games last season with 11 starts and finished with 12 catches for 121 yards and two touchdowns.
Stevens re-signed with the Titans last February on a one-year, $2 million contract.
No immediate reason was known for Stevens’ decision to retire in camp.
