Tim Donaghy, the disgraced former NBA official who was forced to resign in 2007 and later served time in prison for his role in a gambling scandal, said Monday he thinks the NBA suspended Warriors center Draymond Green to prolong the NBA Finals.
Green will miss Game 5 Monday night after being assessed a Flagrant 1 foul — bringing a mandatory one-game suspension — for hitting Cavs star LeBron James in the groin in Friday's game. The Warriors lead the best-of-seven series three games to one.
Donaghy told Sports Illustrated the league has overlooked similar acts by Green in the past.
