Say goodbye to Color Rush uniforms.
Bill Wanger of Fox Sports said Tuesday the NFL plans to scrap alternate uniforms used during Thursday Night Football telecasts beginning with the 2018 season, per Jason Barrett of Barrett Sports Media.
This isn't a new development. The NFL said in December that it was allowing teams to have more flexibility with its Thursday night uniforms, which effectively ended the Color Rush push, per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
The Color Rush uniforms have been in place the last few years and polarized fans, some of whom delighted in the alternate offerings and others who were put off by the bright colors all over their screen.
