Thomas Robinson, a 24-year-old forward who joined the Nets this month on a two-year contract, will undergo arthroscopic surgery Wednesday to repair a small tear in the meniscus of his right knee.
The Nets said the injury occurred while Thomas was working out Tuesday in New York. The club said it would provide a more comprehensive medical update once the procedure was completed.
Robinson has sought a fresh start with the Nets, who are themselves undergoing a collective identity change. Robinson was an all-American selection at Kansas and was selected fifth over all in the 2012 draft.
