This lacrosse player was drafted first overall by his dad

I’m pretty sure professional lacrosse player Ryan Keenan has already fought with his new coach and GM. I only know because everyone fights with their dad.

Keenan was the first pick in Monday’s National Lacrosse league draft, going to the Saskatchewan Rush. His dad, Derek, is a former NLL player himself and currently the Rush’s coach and GM. When he had to make his first pick on Monday, he went with somebody he knew.

It’s believed to be the first time a player has been selected first in a pro sports draft by their father.
